Welcome to Park Road Nursery!

Based in the Old Church Rooms in the centre of Radyr, Park Road Nursery is a member of the Wales Pre-School Providers Association and is Quality Assured under their accreditation scheme.  We are a friendly and very happy playgroup, with a welcoming team of qualified staff (ratio 1:6 for 2½ -5 year olds) who work hard to ensure that we provide high quality care and make your child’s time stimulating and enjoyable. Opening times: Monday to Friday -  9am to 12 noon

For many children, starting in pre-school is their first step towards independence.  At Park Road Nursery our aim is to help them mix socially and develop through a wide range of experiences and activities in a happy environment.  With the emphasis on play, activities include construction, small world play, music and singing, sand and water play, craft and role play.  The Nursery has an excellent and safe outdoor play area that we use as often as we can and is close to Radyr Library, where we often take the children for story reading.

Children can start at the Nursery at two and a half years and we have spaces for up to 28 children per session. We provide a play based learning environment that follows the Areas of Learning for the Foundation Phase and we have a well planned and resourced environment to take learning forward and provide opportunities for all children to succeed, making them feel valued and cared for.
